Wow, wasted time, so much on other stuffs. To save your time:
not edge light, so even lighting, picture doesn’t have pixelation or banding, black is good
Not include 3D glass, has 2 USB, adjust backlight, sharpness, contrast, wireless port, can update firmware, can browse internet (slow and cumbersome), 2x10watts speakers on back, not loud enough on big room. Ext harddrive
DLNA support. Happy with pictures qual. Can’t reduce dept effect. Gloss bezel. Divx, wifi, dolbe. Simple remote.

@1corgan dlna is the wireless link to your home network to watch videos, pictures, music, etc. I have used it. Go to google and type in this exact text “Sharp LCD TV LC-70LE735U”. The manual is the second link.

@CreativeOutletHobbie great thanks for the quick response, DLNA is that wireless service? have you streamed movies from your computer to your tv? also I went to the Sharp website could not find the manual, would you know the web address?
enero 6th, 2012 at 7:28
@1corgan I’ve not used the USB port yet, but I have used the DLNA client and it does work. On page 52 of the manual for this TV is says the following video file types are supported: .avi, .MKV, .asf, .wmv, .mp4, .mov, .3gp, .vro, .mpg, .mpeg. So you should be good. You can download the manual.

@CreativeOutletHobbie I was wondering if you have used the side usb port on this tv for playing video files, does it support MKV?

@zoetele123 not worth the money. I compared it to this before buying. It looked dark and the viewing angle was off.

@1corgan Thank you. sorry about the audio

@SoCalDude805 The specs on the sharp website are better answer, but my analysis from my buying research is that the 32u and 33u the picture quality sucks. I don’t believe these use back lighting. The 34u and the 35u have considerably better picture quality. The difference between the 34u and 35u is that the 34u doesn’t have the 3d features that the 35u does. I did this review 2 months ago and I’m still loving this TV. Its worked without any problems and is still awesome.

enero 6th, 2012 at 10:44
@CreativeOutletHobbie Ah, okay. I thought that all Sharp TV’s for the US market where manufactured at Sharp’s Baja California, Mexico plant, I didnt know they were still doing full manufacturing in Japan anymore do to expenses.

@MrPinkfloyd1173 I’ll have to look for the disk. I’m on avsforums a lot at least reading/researching.
enero 6th, 2012 at 11:56
Thanks man, you know I bought this dvd that a friend recommened to me it’s the ” World of Disney ” Blu ray, it has a calibration Blu ray disk that is suppose to be really good. I got it on amazon. Also I check the AVS forums too, they have some good info on this TV too.

@MrPinkfloyd1173 Awesome congrats let me know what you think when you have it going. I’ve fiddled with my settings just to see what I could do with it, but I’ve felt its been pretty good out of the box. Tonight I’m using the “standard” AV mode. Play around with those and find one you like. I also disabled the OPC for now.

I just came back and I actually got model number LC-70LE734U, basically the same model you got without the 3-D, paid $2650 for it. Can’t wait to get it tomorrow! By the way what are your settings that you use for your set man, maybe you can send them to me so I can compare when I try to set up mine?
enero 6th, 2012 at 13:17
@Rahlgd I don’t see any information about where it was manufactured. I’m sure parts are sourced and assmebled in a variety of locations. Sharp is known to have LCD/panel plants in Japan. If I were to guess I would say its mostly assembled in Japan.
enero 6th, 2012 at 13:24
@MrPinkfloyd1173 that is a great price. I’m still liking mine.
enero 6th, 2012 at 13:34

Does anyone know which country the LC-70LE735U is manufactured in?

@CreativeOutletHobbie oh ok cool. i’ve been impressed by Panasonic’s plasma’s there pictures are incredibly detailed and have natural looking colors and dark blacks. i own 1 myself. can you recommend software for editing videos with canon camera’s? i have the 500D myself but i cant find an easy to use and preferably free software that lets me edit and convert videos in HD for youtube.

@CreativeOutletHobbie The 4th pixel on this TV is not noticeable. You can shut it off completely if you want. You can watch the TV in 5-6 different modes and you don’t get any extra yellow in most. I think its a gimmick, but harmless on this TV.
